Preventing or healing a virus in dogs naturally is pretty simple as long as you follow natural laws. The high tech that is so prevalent these days, in detecting and isolating an ever increasing number of rare and new strains of any specific virus or other pathogen, may look clever, but doesn’t yield much in the way of help.

It never will either, because all the clever technology is missing the vital part.

Preventing a Virus in Dogs Naturally

The key to preventing any disease in anyone is to focus on keeping their immune system healthy. Having a healthy immune system is NOT indicated by having no apparent health issues as these symptoms can be easily suppressed, giving you a false impression that all is well.

A healthy immune system is indicated by how well the being in question recovers from the problem, whether it is an emotional, a mental or a physical problem. We all have issues that affect us every day. It’s part of life. As they say, sh**t happens.

There are many aspects that contribute or adversely affect anyone’s immune system. The main ones include:

  • the wrong diet
  • poor living conditions
  • the lack of a natural environment that is important to that species (this varies with each species)
  • a lack of sufficient exercise
  • the health care system
  • poor understanding of who the dog is when training

Dogs suffer terribly from the lack of nutrition in commercial dog food. No-one can ever be healthy without with vitally important part of life. A poor diet may not kill the dog, well, not immediately, but it sure will contribute to poor health.

Poor living conditions include a lack of shelter from the elements and unhygienic conditions, which are obvious to most people, yet they still occur.

The lack of a natural environment for dogs, a pack animal, include a lack of companion. The best companion is another dog, but any animal, in a dogs eye, is better than being on their own. Being on their own is scary, boring and takes away any joie de vivre. Behavioural problems are likely to result, such as constant barking, digging up the garden, even aggression are the likely outcomes.

Dogs need exercise. The bigger the dog, the more exercise. They need this daily. They are built to run. Dogs are natural hunters. Exercise is not only good for the body, it’s good for the mind. Exercising away from home also gives them the opportunity to check up on the local canine gossip and other interesting smells.

The health care system is vital to keeping the immune system strong, resilient and healthy. Veterinary drugs and vaccines not only suppress symptoms of disease, they lower the effectiveness of the immune system, allowing more problems. A virus or any pathogen, will mutate from the effect of being killed from drugs. The mutation will create a stronger virus or pathogen. Never imagine that man can win over nature.

Most of the current dog training methods fail to understand who dogs are. Inevitably, the training stresses out the dog as they struggle to understand the human way.

Healing A Virus In Dogs Naturally Will Also Prevent Future Viruses

Healing any condition in anyone is all about giving the body all the right resources so it can heal itself. That’s the job of a healthy immune system. So the focus should always be on getting that into tip top order.

The ways to do that is to undo what destroyed it in the first place. The main areas include:

  • feeding your dog according to their evolutionary history
  • providing shelter and hygienic living condition (without going overboard in sterilising everything in sight)
  • living with company, love and respect
  • getting daily exercise, enough for the breed, size and ability of the dog, including providing interest
  • using training methods that respect the canine way and are easily understood by the dog
  • using an holistic approach to health care, such as homeopathy, that works by restoring a poorly functioning immune system rather than suppressing the symptoms

Even getting some of the above right can do wonders for healing a virus in dogs. It doesn’t matter what the virus is, whether it is a new one, a rare one never seen before, or not even a virus. Restoring the health of the immune system will restore the health of the dog so they are now able to keep viruses and other pathogens at bay. They become happy, content, easy to live with, with no behavioural issues.

The benefits also include lighter demands on your wallet.
